The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA click here services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage produced for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
